When spraying, wear this protective equipment to avoid any risk of injury.
• Store chemicals in a locked storage box, locker or other safe place, out of the reach of children. • Read the instructions for use of chemicals carefully and familiarise yourself with the toxicity level, methods of use, etc.
• Consider the entire area you are going to spray to ensure that you do not pollute the water supply, rivers, lakes, etc., or cause injury to residents, passers-by, livestock, etc. • Prepare yourself physically the day before you start spraying, for example by reducing alcohol consumption or night work. Do not allow children, animals, etc., to enter the chemical spraying area.
• Before spraying, prepare thoroughly by inspecting the sprayer nozzles and checking for any abnormalities, e.g. loose spray hose connections or screws, fuel leaks, broken or damaged liquid joints, or damage to the transport belt.

Precautions when transporting chemicals:

• When transporting chemicals, handle with care to ensure that no chemical spillage occurs from torn bags, broken bottles or loose caps.
• Do not transport chemicals and food in the same container.

Precautions when transporting the sprayer:

• Do not transport the sprayer while it contains chemicals or fuel in the tank, as these may leak after an impact during transport.
• When transporting it in a vehicle, use a cable or similar to secure the sprayer firmly to the goods trailer in an upright position. Do not transport it on a bicycle or motorcycle, as this is dangerous.
• If it is necessary to manually move the sprinkler over a short distance, use the handles located on both sides of the tank to move it.

Fuel precautions: The following precautions will reduce the risk of fire.

• Mix and pour fuel outdoors, where there are no sparks or flames.
• Do not smoke or place hot objects near fuel.
• Never refuel with the engine running.
• Stop the engine and let it cool for a few minutes before refueling.
• Open the tank cap slowly when refueling to allow gases to escape slowly if there is excess pressure.
• Tighten the tank cap securely after refueling.
• Always move the machine away from the fuel source and location before starting.
• Use fuel tanks with overfill protection.
• If fuel has been spilled on the tank, remove any spilled liquid and allow any remaining fuel to evaporate.

• Make sure the fuel is well mixed by shaking the container before filling the tank.

Precautions when refilling chemicals:

• Before filling the tank with chemicals, make sure the tap valve is fully closed.
• After refilling chemicals, tighten the tank cap securely. If not fully tightened, the cap may come off during spraying, which may result in physical exposure to chemicals.

Precautions when starting the engine:

• Keep children, animals, etc. away when starting the engine and starting to spray.

Precautions when spraying:

• Since protective clothing usually provides poor ventilation and therefore puts stress on the body, there is a risk of heat stroke or other illnesses when working for long periods of time in high temperatures. Avoid spraying on hot days; instead, try to spray early in the morning and late in the afternoon when temperatures are relatively low and winds are light.
• When starting to work, pay due attention to the time of spraying, wind direction, etc., to ensure that you do not cause any noise disturbance or chemical hazard to nearby residents, passers-by, agricultural crops, etc.
• Always hold the handle firmly when spraying and be careful not to point the nozzle at people or animals.
• When spraying, be careful of the wind direction and always stand upwind to avoid having chemicals sprayed on you.
• If you start to feel even slightly unwell while spraying, seek medical attention immediately. When doing so, inform the doctor of the name of the chemical you were using, the conditions of use, etc.
• If the sprayer is tilted, the chemical may start to spill through the air holes in the cap. Always make sure that you maintain stability and balance when spraying.
• Do not touch the spark plug or spark plug wires while the engine is running, as this may result in electric shock.
• Do not touch the muffler, spark plug or other metal parts with your hands while the engine is running or immediately after stopping the engine, as there is a risk of burns due to high temperatures.

Precautions after spraying:

• Seal unused chemicals and store them out of the reach of children.
• Do not simply dispose of empty chemical containers, but dispose of them safely by setting them on fire, burying them or using some other similar method. In addition, take great care to ensure that water used to clean spray tools
does not cause any hazards. • Thoroughly inspect and maintain protective clothing, masks, gloves and other protective equipment in preparation for the next session.
• After finishing work and cleaning chemicals and spray tools, the operator should immediately take a shower or thoroughly wash hands, feet, face, etc. with soap and water, as well as rinsing your mouth.
• You should change all clothing, including underwear, and wash it thoroughly. Clothing worn during spraying should not be worn again the next day.
• After spraying, limit your alcohol intake and get a good night's rest by going to bed early. If you feel even slightly unwell, consult a doctor as soon as possible.

Other precautions:

• When spraying over a long period of time, check your health regularly.
• Carry out spraying in a planned manner, keeping a daily record of the date and time of spraying, the chemicals used, the target pest, the content and duration of the work, and other details.
• Pay attention to the following points when selecting or using protective equipment. A. Protective clothing. Choose clothing that is cool and provides good ventilation and waterproofing. In addition, use items that allow you to carry out spraying work in maximum comfort and safety. B. Spray hood. Use a hood with a visor that is waterproof and covers your neck and shoulders. C. Gloves. Use gloves that prevent chemicals from getting in and that do not slip, even if you sweat while working. D. Rubber apron. When mixing chemicals, wear a long, thick, wide apron that cannot be penetrated by chemical splashes. E. Mask, goggles, etc. Select goggles, mask, rubber boots, eyewash station and protective cream, etc., taking into account the standards and recommendations of organizations promoting safety in agricultural work.

Fuel:

• Petrol is highly flammable. Avoid smoking or having flames or sparks near fuel. Be sure to stop the engine and let it cool down before refuelling the unit. Choose a firm ground outdoors for refuelling and move at least 3 m (10 ft) away from the refuelling point before starting the engine.
• Husqvarna engines are lubricated with oil specially formulated for use in air-cooled 2-stroke petrol engines. If Husqvarna oil is not available, use a high-quality anti-oxidant oil specifically designed for air-cooled 2-stroke petrol engines (JASO FC or ISO EGC OIL).
• Do not use a BIA or TCW (2-stroke water-cooled type) oil blend.

• RECOMMENDED MIXING RATIO:

A. GASOLINE 40: OIL 1 (when using genuine Husqvarna oil)
B. GASOLINE 25: OIL 1 (when using another oil)
• These engines are certified to run on unleaded gasoline.
• Make sure to use gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89 RON (USA/Canada: 87AL).
• Gasoline with up to 10% ethanol (mixture of gasoline and alcohol) or up to 15% MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether) is acceptable.
• If you use gasoline with a lower octane rating than recommended, there is a risk of the engine temperature rising and consequently an engine problem such as piston seizure.
• It is recommended to use clean, fresh unleaded gasoline to reduce air pollution for the sake of your health and the environment.
• Poor quality gasoline or oils can damage the engine’s O-ring seals, fuel lines or fuel tank.

To mix the fuel:

• Pay attention to agitation.
1. Measure the quantities of gasoline and oil to be mixed.
2. Pour some of the gasoline into a clean, approved fuel container.
3. Pour in all the oil and shake well.
4. Pour in the rest of the gasoline and shake again for at least one minute. Since some oils can be difficult to shake, depending on their ingredients, they need to be shaken well to ensure longer engine life. Please note that insufficient agitation increases the risk of premature piston seizure due to an abnormally inadequate mixture.
5. Place a clear label on the outside of the container to prevent mixing with gasoline or the contents of other containers.
6. Label the contents on the outside of the container for easy identification.

To fill the unit:

1. Unscrew and remove the tank cap. Place the cap in a dust-free location.
2. Add fuel to the fuel tank up to 80% of its total capacity.
3. Tighten the fuel tank cap securely and wipe off any fuel spills around the unit.
Warning
1. Choose a firm ground for refueling.
2. Move at least 3 meters (10 feet) away from the fueling location before starting the engine.
3. Stop the engine before refueling the unit. At this time, be sure to shake the gasoline mixture in the container sufficiently.

TO EXTEND THE LIFE OF THE ENGINE, AVOID:

1. FUEL WITHOUT OIL (PURE GASOLINE) very quickly causes serious damage to internal engine parts.
2. MIXING GASOLINE WITH ALCOHOL - May cause deterioration of rubber and/or plastic parts and disruption of engine lubrication.
3. OIL FOR USE IN 4-STROKE ENGINE May cause spark plug fouling, exhaust port blockage or piston ring seizure.
4. Fuel mixtures that have not been used for a period of one month or more may clog the carburetor and cause the engine to malfunction.
5. In case of storage of the product for a long period of time, clean the fuel tank after emptying it. Then start the engine and empty the carburetor of composite fuel.
6. To dispose of a used oil mixture container, do so only at an authorized disposal center.

Usage:
Highly flammable. When refueling, turn off the engine and keep it away from open flames.
• After filling the tank with fuel, tighten the cap securely.

To start the engine:
  • Before starting the engine, make sure that the tap valve has returned to its position. Starting with the tap valve still pulled out is dangerous, as chemical liquids can come out of the nozzle as soon as the engine starts.
  • To start the engine, place the sprayer on a stable, flat surface or platform. If the sprayer is unstable, the reaction when starting, etc., may cause it to fall.

• Do not allow chemical liquids or water from the tank to run out while the engine is running. Running the engine empty may cause damage to the spray pump.
• Make sure that the gear oil is filled to the middle of the oil level sight glass. If this is not enough, loosen the top screw and top up the gear oil.

  1. Using your finger, press the trigger on the bottom of the carburetor a few times until fuel begins to flow through the clear tube.
  2. Lift the choke lever, located on the right side of the air screen filter, until it is in the "closed" position.
  3. Set the pressure control knob for the appropriate spray conditions. The pressure control knob is used to control the amount of pressure the pump produces. When set, excess pressure is routed back to the supply tank to ensure maximum output pressure at the wand. To set the pressure, follow these instructions:
• Turn clockwise to increase pressure or counterclockwise to decrease pressure.
• To lock the pressure adjustment knob, push the pressure lock plate to the right.
  1. Place the sprayer on a stable surface and pull the starter button with your right hand while holding the sprayer tank with your left hand. First, the starter button should be pulled lightly, then when resistance is felt, it should be pulled faster and more vigorously.

• Do not pull the rope out completely or release the starter button to return the rope to its position, as this may cause the starter to malfunction.
  1. After the engine starts, gradually open the choke lever and warm up at low speed for 1-2 minutes.

• If the cord is pulled continuously with the choke closed, the spark plug may become soaked and the engine may not start. If this happens, first remove the spark plug, dry the electrodes, and then repeat the starting procedure.

To stop the engine:

• In an emergency, stop the engine immediately.

1. Lower the throttle lever fully and let the engine cool for 1-2 minutes at low speed.
2. Press and hold the stop switch on the left side of the sprayer frame until the engine stops completely.

• Except in an emergency, avoid stopping the engine while pulling the throttle.

To spray:

• Use correctly, following the precautions in this manual.
• Before carrying the sprayer on your back, check that the caps on the sprayer tank and the fuel tank are securely closed.
• When spraying, do not point the nozzle at your face or the face of other people, animals, etc.
• If the sprayer is tilted too much, chemical liquid or fuel may start to spill out through the air holes in the cap. Always try to maintain an upright posture when using.
• If the sprayer tank becomes empty during spraying, immediately reduce the engine speed to the lowest possible setting. Operating with the engine empty may break the spray pump.
• Avoid using multiple nozzles, jet nozzles or other nozzles that provide a large spray volume, as spray efficiency is sometimes reduced due to insufficient pressure.

Spraying procedure:

1. Start the engine,
2. Place the sprayer on your back.
3. Adjust the carrying strap to the appropriate length for carrying.
4. Increase the engine speed,
5. Open the tap valve. Chemical liquid will start to come out of the nozzle in the form of mist.
6. When you stop working, close the tap valve completely and reduce the engine speed.

Cleaning after finishing spraying:

  1. Unscrew the liquid drain cap, transfer the remaining chemical liquid inside the tank to a suitable container and proceed accordingly with due attention to safety.
  2. Pour about 5 liters of clean water into the spray tank, spray through the nozzle for 2-3 minutes, then drain the remaining water from the tank.

• Make sure the engine has stopped and cooled down before carrying out any service work on the machine. Contact with the hot muffler may result in personal injury.
• Do not modify the sprayer or disassemble the engine.
• If you have to replace parts, use original Husqvarna parts or designated parts.

To check the air mesh filter:

• After every 25 hours of operation, remove the air mesh filter cover and inspect the air mesh filter. If it is too dirty, wash it thoroughly in warm water and mild detergent, and return it to its original position after drying it thoroughly.
• If the air mesh filter is deformed or damaged, replace it with a new one.
• If the air mesh filter is blocked, the engine efficiency will be reduced. Furthermore, the inside of the engine will suffer abnormal wear if it is operated without the filter or if it is continuously operated with a deformed or damaged filter installed.

To check the fuel filter:

• After every 25 hours of operation, empty the fuel tank, remove the fuel filter from the tank, and remove all dirt. If the air filter is too clogged, replace it with a new one.
• If the fuel filter is clogged, engine speed may be limited or engine speed fluctuations may occur.
• If the engine is operated without a fuel filter, dirt will accumulate in the carburetor and cause it to malfunction.

To check the spark plug:

• Do not touch the spark plug directly with your hands immediately after operation, as there is a risk of burns due to high temperatures.
• After every 25 hours of operation, remove the spark plug and remove dirt from the electrodes with a wire brush or similar.
• The correct gap between the electrodes is 0.6 to 0.7 mm.
• When replacing the spark plugs, use the items shown.
• If too much fuel is absorbed or poor-quality oil is used, the spark plug electrodes become dirty, making it difficult to start the engine.
• Please note that using spark plugs other than those specified may cause the engine to malfunction or to overheat and become damaged.
• To install the spark plug, first turn the plug until it is hand-tight, then tighten it a further quarter turn with a socket wrench.

To adjust the engine speed:

• Although the engine is adjusted when it leaves the factory, after repeated use it may sometimes require readjustment or maintenance. Consult your original supplier for information on inspection and maintenance tasks in addition to those listed below.

To adjust the idle speed:

• If the engine stalls or the pump continues to move when in the idle position with the throttle lever fully down, readjust the engine speed using the idle speed adjuster on the left side of the carburetor.

Turn the idle speed adjustment screw:

• Counterclockwise to reduce engine speed
• Clockwise to increase engine speed •
Warm up the engine before adjusting the idle speed.

To adjust the throttle cable free play:

• The throttle cable free play should be 1 to 2 mm (0.04 to 0.04 in)
• Grasp the throttle cable at the carburetor end and give it a gentle pull after the throttle lever has fully returned to its position.
• Re-adjust the position of the cable retaining nut if the free play is too much or too little.
• Loosen the lock nut and turn the cable retaining nut clockwise (tighten) to increase the free play and counterclockwise (loosen) to reduce the free play.
• After adjustment, tighten the cable retaining nut by tightening the lock nut.

To check the spray tip:

A clogged spray tip can cause decreased spray pressure and flow. Excessive pressure backs up into the sprayer tank. To correct the problem, immediately clean the spray tip by following these instructions:
1. Stop the engine and remove the unit from the operator’s back.
2. Disconnect the spray bar from the spray hose assembly. 3. To remove the nozzle cap, turn counterclockwise.
4. Inspect the spray tip and metal tensioner on the 3-nozzle spray bar for any foreign material clogging or obstructing the spray tip.
If damaged, replace.
5. Reinstall the nozzle cap and spray bar onto the spray hose assembly (hand tighten).

To check the engine oil level:

The oil level should be checked before each use.

1. Make sure the sprayer is on a level surface.
2. To access the back of the pump, simply undo the top back padding knobs.
3. Check that the oil is at the 1/3-1/2 (approx. 100ml) level in the oil level sight glass.
4. Replace and re-tighten the back padding knobs in place before use.

NOTE

• DO NOT attempt any oil maintenance on this pump.
• The pump is pre-lubricated and sealed at the factory. If refilling is necessary, consult an authorized dealer or service center.
• Periodically inspect the muffler for loose fasteners, any damage or corrosion. If you find signs of exhaust leakage, stop using the machine and have it repaired immediately.
• Be aware that failure to do so may result in engine fire.

Perform the following procedures after every 100 hours of operation:

1. Remove the muffler, insert a screwdriver into the vent and clean out any carbon build-up. Clean any carbon build-up from the muffler exhaust vent and the cylinder exhaust port at the same time.
2. Tighten all bolts, nuts and fittings.
3. Check to see if oil or lubricant has entered the space between the liner and the clutch drum. If so, clean it out using oil-free unleaded gasoline.
To check the air cooling fan:
• Do not touch the cylinder, muffler or spark plug directly with your hands immediately after stopping the engine. The engine can become very hot when running and doing so could result in serious burns.
