Egg - Ready to Use - 500 ML

Anesthetic based on Glyceryl Guaiacol Ether in ready-to-use (PPU) presentation.

FORMULA:

Each 100 mL of the product contains:
Glyceryl Guaiacol Ether .................................................................. 10 g 
Vehicle qsp .......................................................................... 100 mL

INDICATIONS:

EGG -PPU is indicated for horses in anesthetic induction protocols for 
short-term procedures, in the field, in clinics and hospitals for large 
animals, such as in the performance of total intravenous anesthesia in association with 
Xylazine and Ketamine (in the form of continuous infusion), for long 
-term procedures.
 

HOW TO USE AND DOSAGE:

Administer intravenously in a single dose. For anesthetic induction, 
rapidly administer 1 mL of the product per kg of the animal's body weight (equivalent to 100 mg/kg 
of Glyceryl Ether Guaiacol).
The recommended dose to maintain long-term surgical anesthesia in the 
combination of EGG-PPU with Ketamine and Xylazine is:

Infusion rate of 0.5 to 2.0 mL/kg/hour

GRACE PERIOD:

The product should not be used by patients with hypersensitivity to the components
of the formula.

It is not recommended for use in patients with established thrombophlebitis
or conditions that predispose to the development of vascular alterations.

EGG-PPU is contraindicated as a single agent for 
surgical procedures, as this agent has minimal sedative and analgesic properties. 
For this reason, it is used in combination (with sedatives, injectable anesthetics, 
inhalation anesthetics and local anesthetics) to induce or maintain anesthesia 
in large animals.
