CALDEXTAN combines dextrose and calcium gluconate, effectively restoring glycemic balance and disorders caused by diseases with calcium deficiencies. Calcium is a vital element for the integrity of the nervous and muscular systems, for the excitability of these tissues, allowing for the rapid reestablishment of hemostasis, improving cardiac function, correcting disorders of the acid-base balance of the blood, as well as clinical manifestations of hypocalcemia. Dextrose intervenes in the metabolism, as an energy factor, restoring caloric balance, correcting hepato-cardio-renal insufficiency resulting from toxic infections. Magnesium, as an essential element for life, regulates hypomagnesemia and contributes favorably to the treatment of certain dermatoses. Indicated in the treatment of hypoglycemic states and pre- and post-operative toxic infections. In calcium deficiencies, in vitreous fever, eclampsia, hypocalcemia, paralysis, tetany, before, during and after childbirth and during lactation. In the treatment of dehydration, and in disorders of the acid-base balance of the blood.

how to use and dosage:
HOW TO USE: It can be applied intravenously (slowly), subcutaneously or intramuscularly, and in the last two application routes it is not advisable to apply more than 10 mL in the same place.
DOSAGE:
Piglets: 2 to 5 mL. Swine: 20 to 50 mL.
Goats: 20 to 40 mL. Sheep: 10 to 30 mL.
Calves: 50 to 200 mL.
Cattle and horses: 200 to 500 mL.
