Acatak™ Pour On is indicated for the strategic control of the cattle tick , Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus (including strains resistant to organophosphates, amidines and pyrethroids), in beef cattle and breeding animals.
It protects animal against the emergence of adult forms for a period of between 8 and 12 weeks.

treatment:
In places where the epidemiology of ticks is well known, ACATAK pour on 5 liters is the ideal product for the strategic control of this parasite.
In these cases, the application of ACATAK Pour-On 5 liters a few weeks before the start of seasonal infestations prevents the emergence of subsequent infestation peaks responsible for the high rates of parasitism at the beginning of the season.
When strategic treatment is correctly used, it is possible to keep animals free of ticks with just one or two treatments.
Strategic treatment requires that all animals in the pasture be treated and that they always remain in the same pasture.
Prophylactic treatment:
This consists of treating animals free of nymphs and adults.
In this case, the development of infestation is not observed as long as the blood concentration of the drug remains above the minimum effective concentration.
This period can last between 8 and 12 weeks after treatment. It is recommended to carry out strategic treatment before the start of the tick season.
Curative treatment:
Naturally infested cattle present all stages of the tick.
Treatment with ACATAK Pour-On results in the death of the parasites during the phase changes.
ACATAK Pour-On is not an adulticide.
When using ACATAK Pour-On as a curative treatment, it is important to take into account the degree of infestation. Animals that are parasitized will be free of adult forms approximately 15 days after treatment. If the infestation is too high, it is recommended to proceed with treatment with ACATAK Pour-On plus adulticide.
Apply ACATAK Pour-On as soon as the animals are dry or up to 21 days after bathing, depending on the performance of the adulticide used.

how to use and dosage:
Acatak Pour On 5 liters has a recommended dosage level of 2.5 mg/kg of body weight, which is achieved by applying the product at a rate of 5.0 ml/50 kg of body weight, as per the table below:
The recommended dose should be administered in two strips, on both sides of the dorsal line, from the nape of the neck to the rump with the Acatak™ Pour On applicator .
The product can be used for both strategic and curative treatment, making it the ideal product for tick control.
Restrictions on Use:
Do not administer to dairy cows of breeding age. Observe the withdrawal period when slaughtering calves under 10 months of age that are being suckled by treated cows.
