Formula:
Each 100 mL contains:
Abamectin ................ 1 g.
Vehicle qsp .............. 100 mL.
Indications:
ABAMIC is effective in the control and treatment of gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodes, and ectoparasites of cattle. It has a broad spectrum, a wide safety margin, as well as low dosage and good tolerance.
Gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodes: Adults and larvae (including inhibited or hypobiotic larvae) of Ostertagia spp., Haemonchus spp., Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Bunostomum spp., Oesophagostomum spp., Nematodirus spp., Strongyloides spp., and Dictyocaulus spp.
Ectoparasites:
Insects: Larvae of Dermatobia hominis, Hypoderma spp., and Cochliomya hominivorax.
Lice: Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus, Solenopotes capillatus, Damalinia bovis.
Scabies: Psoroptes bovis, Sarcoptes scabiei va. bovis, Chorioptes bovis.
Ticks: Helps control Boophilus microplus.
Can be used to prevent screwworms in calves castrated.
Dosage:
ABAMIC should be administered at a dose of 1 mL for every 50 kg of body weight (equivalent to 200 mcg of Abamectin per kg of weight).
Administration:
ABAMIC can be administered by subcutaneous injection, under the loose skin, in front or behind the shoulder blade. It can be administered simultaneously with other injectables such as the vaccine against Clostridial disease, Brucellosis, etc.
Precautions:
Withdrawal Period and Restrictions on Use:
Do not slaughter cattle for human consumption until 28 days have passed since the last treatment.
Do not administer the product to lactating dairy cows.
DO NOT TREAT ANIMALS UNDER 16 WEEKS OF AGE.
Store the product in a dry, cool place, protected from sunlight, out of the reach of children and pets.
